    WHAT HAPPENED?

The England international encountered a hostile atmosphere at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday as a section of the home fans threw objects at Palmer during the first of the London derby. In the 42nd minute, as the Blues attacker approached the corner flag to take a set piece, some Spurs fans started pelting objects. The stewards on the sideline were quick to remove the objects from the pitch as the match was halted for a few seconds.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

After Tottenham took an early two-goal lead courtesy of Marc Cucurella's nightmare defending, Sancho pulled one back for the visitors in the first half. Enzo Maresca's side, however, responded strongly after the break as Palmer equalised from the penalty spot just past the hour mark before Enzo Fernandez put Chelsea in front for the first time in the game in the 73rd minute. The former Manchester City star then completed his brace in the 84th minute by converting a second spot-kick to seal a memorable comeback for the West London side.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

With his two penalties against Tottenham, Palmer set a new penalty record in the Premier League. The Chelsea star has scored all 12 of his penalties in the Premier League; the best 100% record of any player in the competition (overtaking Yaya Touré's 11/11).
