WHAT HAPPENED?
A report from the Daily Star has suggested the 33-year-old wants to skip the tournament, as he's worried an injury could scupper his next move. De Bruyne's deal ends on the 30th June, and there are hints that the player has been angered by the decision to let him walk.

De Bruyne is obliged to play, as the tournament starts on the 14th June. City have the right to extend his deal by a further two weeks, should they progress into the latter stages of the event and onto the final on the 13th July. The Belgian is expected to hold talks with the club, in the hopes they will allow him the opportunity to take a break and prioritise his next step.
